Vaxxed The Movie Why has this film caused so much panic amongst the mainstream medical

 Vaxxed The Movie has caused a cataclysmic reaction from the mainstream medical community, the media and amongst the majority of people who are believe vaccines are safe. And this is understandable because in the film Dr. Andrew Wakefield, the British doctor who first questioned a possible link between the MMR vaccine and autism explains his findings. But more importantly the film describes and names a senior scientist  at the Centre for Disease control,( the CDC) admitting committing fraud to cover up the link between autism and vaccines.
But let us set all that aside for a moment or two. Let us imagine that the film is false and nonsensical. If that were the case why have the people mentioned by name in the film for their part in the cover up not sued Dr. Andrew Wakefield and the film makers for libel and slander?  And why have most of the media worldwide heavily criticised this film without having even  seen  it?
And then there was the reaction to the showing of the film to a private audience in London this past week. The premises used were part of Regent's College and the screening was facilitated by The Centre for Homeopathic Education,(CHE) the biggest homeopathic college in the UK. The day following the screening Regent's College told CHE they could no longer hire the  premises despite having used the facilities for 17 years! What pressure was brought to bear behind the scenes by person/s and organisations unknown on Regent's College for this to happen? 
I freely admit my interest in this, I am a homeopath, and a graduate of CHE but the concerted clampdown against this movie is alarming. The first attempt to show this film in the UK was at a Curzon cinema They accepted the booking but then cancelled at the last minute. Surely if something is so controversial then the public should be allowed to decide for themselves unless of course the public is deemed to be too stupid to make up their own minds.  There was  a debate on the Jeremy Vine show on BBC Radio 2 and yet Dr. Andrew Wakefield was not invited to speak as were none of the people involved in the film.
It seems that in 2017 some facts are too dangerous to be allowed the light of day...
